Roger Morgan was a standout player and four-year letter winner at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. During his career, he helped lead the Irish to four Diamond Conference Championships, three District Championships, one Regional Championship, and the 1989 Ohio Division AA State Championship. He earned All-City, All-District, All-Summit, and First Team All-Ohio honors.

Roger continued his baseball career at Kent State University, where he became a starter as a freshman. He earned All-Mid-American Conference honors and helped lead the Golden Flashes to the 1992 MAC Championship, the program’s first conference title since 1964.

In summer baseball, Roger excelled with the Manchester A’s, winning three AABC State Championships. He also captured the Akron AA League batting title with the Akron Peppers after hitting .536 and was selected as a league All-Star twice.
