Year Inducted – 2010

Sam had tremendous influence molding young players into champion style team players on many of Akron’s greatest youth teams, including Ott Construction E Team Hot Stove League District, State and National Champs in 1971. Other title teams were: 1968 Lyle City Chevy, ’70-’72-’73 Ott Construction, ’87-’88-’89 Ellet A’s Redsox. Sam was also Assistant Coach for champion East High teams in 1973, 1974, and 1975.
