Jim Walsh was born in the Bronx, New York, before moving to Hudson, Ohio, where he began playing Little League baseball. At Hudson High School, he earned three varsity letters and was named All-Suburban in each of his three seasons. Jim was also the first sophomore in school history to receive All-Suburban honors.
Jim continued his baseball career as a Division I pitcher at Jacksonville University. Following college, he had the opportunity to play professionally in the Kansas City Royals minor league organization.
After his playing career, Jim remained active in the game as an assistant baseball coach and pitching coach at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida.
Following baseball, Jim enjoyed a successful career in the medical industry. He is now retired and resides in Ponte Vedra, Florida.
