Cory Hindel, a 2005 graduate of Tallmadge High School, was a key contributor and team captain for multiple District, Regional, and State Championship baseball teams. He started at shortstop on Tallmadge’s 2002 State Championship team and earned numerous All-League, All-District, and All-State honors during his high school career.
Cory continued his baseball career at Wake Forest University before transferring to Kent State University. At Kent State, he served as team captain during both his junior and senior seasons as the Golden Flashes captured three Mid-American Conference Championships. The program also advanced to three NCAA Regional appearances while earning multiple national rankings.
Following his collegiate career, Cory was drafted by the Chicago Cubs organization.
