Drafted in June 1970 in the 3rd round by Detroit and signed by Hall of Famer Denny Galehouse, Tom spent 5 years in the Tiger farm system, was called up with roommate Mark The Bird Fydrich, but an arm injury ended his career. He then spent 18 years managing and coaching successful Champion Manchester A’s, Akron A’s and Goodyear Heights teams.
