Tim Adams was Born in Barberton, Ohio and was a multiple sport athlete playing any sport that had a ball involved from dawn till dusk most days. Adams attended Barberton High School where he played varsity for 3 years. He played multiple positions and hit for both power and average every year. He led the team in hitting his senior year and was selected to the Diamond Conference All-Star team in 1980 and 1981. He was selected as prep player of the week his Senior year and Prep Honor roll his Junior and Senior years.
After high school, Adams began a career in the Army/Ohio Army National Guard culminating with a tour as a Platoon Sergeant SFC E-7 in Iraq with the 1st Infantry Division. He retired from the military in 2005 with 23 ½ years’ service. He played for many great teams winning many championships, such as Sharon Cox Painting Akron Knights, Kent Mudhens, the REMAX Indians Summa Ortho Indians. In 2017, Adams won 3 different championships with 3 different teams and won the 2017 Roy Hobbs Masters Division MVP batting .620.
Adams continues to play in many adult leagues including Roy Hobbs, Canton MSBL, and CABL in Cleveland.
