Terry Stanoch was an athletically gifted baseball player who was extremely fast with power to all fields. A four-year letterman at Walsh Jesuit High School, Terry was an All-State catcher and the team’s MVP. After graduation, he attended Brown University where he was a two-year letter winner and a two-year All-Ivy League selection.
In the AA baseball league, Terry played for nine years with Akron Omnicor and Crocker’s, and was always near the top of the list of hitting leaders. An eight All-Star as both a catcher and outfielder, it was Terry Stanoch who you would want blocking the curve ball with a runner on third, or running down a gap shot.
