Steve is well known within the baseball community as a hard playing, exceptional hitting teammate. Playing for Cuyahoga Falls, he was All-League both as a junior and senior, and was All-Ohio as a senior. Steve led the conference in RBI and home runs in his junior and senior years.

Steve was a consistent .375 hitter between 1983-97 on Akron Omnicor and Akron Insulating teams. He has played on several championship teams in both the AA League and Roy Hobbs League. He is currently a baseball coach at Cuyahoga Falls
High and a player in the Roy Hobbs Open Division.
