Barker-Len

Born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, and grew up in Philadelphia, Len was drafted out of high school with the 49th pick in the 1973 draft by the Texas Rangers. The 6-5, 225-pound right-hander got to the majors with the 1976 Rangers. Three years later, Len was traded with Bobby Bonds to Cleveland for Rex Kern and Larvell Banks. Len was 6-6 his first year and enjoyed his best pitching with the Tribe and was voted to the Top 100 Cleveland players all-time. In 1980 Len had a record of 19-12, in 1981 made the All-Star team and pitched only the 10th perfect game in Major League history, beating the Toronto Blue Jays. Three years later the Tribe traded him to the Atlanta Braves for Brett Butler and Bruce Jacoby, he closed out his career with the Braves.
