Jordan graduated from Manchester High in 2005 where he was a 4 year letterman. Jordan was named to first-team all-conference, all-district and all-state teams following his senior year. He also excelled in basketball and the first athlete in school history to earn All-State in 2 sports.

Jordan holds the Manchester single season record for BA .532, SLG 1.128, On-Base .691, and tied for career home runs with 25. He was inducted in the Manchester High HOF.

Jordan was a 4 year starter for the Miami Redhawks. As a sophomore in 2007, he was 1st team All-MAC. In his junior season he was 2nd team All-MAC. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs but returned to Miami for his senior year. During that year, Jordan hit a career high of .364 with 8 home runs, 54 RBI and selected by the Cubs in the 2009 draft.

Jordan finished his career with the Redhawks 3rd all-time in hits, first in doubles and second in both runs scored and total bases.
